Vulture

Alternate title: The Father from The Holy Trinity triptych.
Corset Brace
Vacuum formed styrene, gesso, ink, black lace, leather, 18” x 13” x 8” 2022
This piece was inspired by Lanzavecchia + Wai Designers Tattoo Back Brace. Not only a fashionable corset, it also serves as a practical scoliosis brace, exploring the intersection of goth aesthetics and medical aid. Both the Caduceus snake on back and the tree trunk on front follow my spine’s curves.

Skull Bowl
Terracotta, 2024
Study of the human skull done in terracotta, hollowed out and turned into a bowl with removable lid and little compartments inside to store trinkets.
The River Goats: Beached

Album cover for The River Goats EP: Beached. The logo and lettering were drawn in ink and digitally edited, and collaged with drawings by Milo Wenc and photo by Anya Alston.
Scoliola
Wood, 31” x 9” x 4”, 2019
Viola carved to resemble a spine, ribcage, and pelvis. I have scoliosis, which often plays a key part in my work as can be seen in the viola’s curved spine. The instrument is fitted with electric pickups and has a ghostly hollow sound to it.
Claws
Mild steel, 5’ x 3.5’, 2021
Articulated claws made from mild steel. They connect to a bracketed harness at the small of my back, come over the shoulders and attach to cuffs above the elbows, on the wrists, on the third knuckle, and first knuckle of each hand. Designed to accentuate movement of the hands.
Unwound
Steel, 8”, 2019
Metal wire twisted to resemble a skeleton. This piece was also a meditation on my scoliosis, body, and mind.
Lucid: Aerial Showcase Fall 2023
Lyra hoop duo piece feat. Carlson Ogata, Nov 3-4 2023
Photo from Brown Aerial Acrobatics’ Fall 2023 show Lucid. The show followed four dreamers through dream worlds of fantasy, nightmare, debauchery, and abnormality. I was a nightmare, and performed alongside Carlson Ogata on Lyra.
